well everyone is making theories about the world goin down because of some hi tech stuff, well i think thats a load of bull . during Russ's dream thing in the serpant mound exploration, i'm pretty sure that those drawings were real. i'm not sure exactly wat the drawings were of, but Russ said their might of been an earlier fall. if so, then no technology was involved in this earlier fall. and for the historians, i don't think they might be correct. Russ has fell for a false theory before, maybe it's happening again.
so i thought some smarter than me people could think of a natural way this could of happened. or heck maybe it was aliens

Something seemed a little odd about 'the fall' reference to me as the show started, and I can't seem to figure out what the problem is.
Last semester, I had taken a critical studies course on Milton's Paradise Lost. The poem itself is about the Christian belief of 'The Fall', both the fall of Satan + other angels, and the fall of humanity from the garden of Eden.
Personally, I'm not Christian for many reasons, but the theology of it led me to think about many things in regards to this show. For one, the reason both the angels and Adam & Eve 'fell' was due to the fact they wanted to be 'like God'. Satan outwardly fights to become God, and Adam and Eve wish to have the intelligence of God. With that in mind, the mythos (if applied to AW) would work to explain conceptually the break in technology alongside the loss of humanity.
Just a thought I thought I'd share... I could go on, but it could get long and daunting if nobody wants to hear hehe. |

Based on what I've seen here there are some very intelligent people on these forums. My theory is one that I think would for me make the most sense. You may call it "the rapture", or divine intervention which divine intervention I guess is the best way to put this. I believe its GOD, plain and simple. God created this earth, I mean seriously he can do anything why not this.
I don't believe the author here is going for the rapture if he was it would of been alot more obvious like THE LEFT BEHIND series. I think the rapture will happen in real life but on here I doubt it from what it sounds like there are some very faithful people on here, and if it was the rapture he would of been taken also there would of been signs from the bible used.
I believe he is going for god just cleaning up the earth, he got rid of some of the population so we couldn't rebuild as fast and he took out major technology so we weren't able to use it as a catalyst to get the earth back to the way it was. This is just theory and is up there with all the rest and probably has been mentioned somewhere in these forums before but again this in my mind is not the THE RAPTURE, rather more of a noah's ark cleansing. I can't wait for more episodes and for more theories! |
